Hands-On CPR, First Aid & AED Training for Homeschool Students
Iowa Homeschool CPR Training gives students and families a hands-on way to learn CPR, First Aid, AED, and practical emergency response skills. Our student-focused classes are designed to help young people build practical emergency response skills and the confidence to take action when someone needs help.
What Students Will Practice
- High-quality CPR using training manikins
- How to use an AED
- How to help someone who is choking
- First aid for bleeding and common emergencies
- How to recognize serious medical emergencies
- EpiPen trainer practice
- When and how to call 911
- The Chain of Survival
Classes include instructor demonstrations, discussion, hands-on practice, and skills testing so students have multiple opportunities to see, understand, and perform the skills themselves.
Choose the Training Option That Works for You
Parents Can Participate Too
Parents and guardians are welcome to complete the course alongside their student by registering as a participant. A separate paid registration is required for each parent or guardian who participates. The parent registration option and current fee will be shown on the class registration page.
Course Completion
After successfully completing the course and required skills testing, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver® for K-12 Schools eCard, valid for two years.
